PERRI, JACKSON ADVANCE TO U.S. AMATEUR MATCH PLAY

SCARBOROUGH, N.Y. -- Furman's Jennifer Perri and Brandi Jackson carded rounds of 69 and 77 on Tuesday to finish 6th and 29th, respectively in the U.S. Amateur stroke play tournament. Rising Furman senior Leigh Turner, winner of the Atlanta U.S. Am qualifier, failed to qualify for match play after carding a second-round 76 for a 151 two-day total. The cutoff for match play was 150.

Perri and Jackson will begin match play on Wednesday with Jackson facing Courtney Clark of Del Ray, Calif. at 9:46, followed at 10:10 by Perri against Mallory Crosland of Bethesday, Md.

The first two rounds of match play, each consisting of 18 holes, is slated for Wednesday at the Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Scarborough, N.Y.
