Lady Paladins Golf Team Finished 12th in Mercedes-Bentz Tournment

Knoxville, Tennessee-- The Lady Paladins Golf team finished in 12th place after the final round of the Merceded-Bentz Golf Tournment. The Lady Paladins remained in 12th place the whole weekend, and ended the tournment with a combined score of 955. Duke finished first for the second straight week and was followed by host school Tennessee.

Individually, Furman had two players in the top 30. Jennifer Perri led the Lady Paladins this weekend with a 15th place finish and a score of 229. V. Nirapathpongporn of Duke finished first in the tournment after firing a two under 69 on the last day of play. Brandi Jackson followed Perri in 29th place. After firing a first round of 83, Jackson was able to come back posting her next two rounds in the 70s and finishing the final round with a two over 74 and a 246 overall.

Next week Furman host the Lady Paladin Invitational at the Furman Golf Coursein Greenville, SC. The tournment starts on Friday October 20 and will conclude on Sunday.
