Lady Paladin Golf Team in 12th Place After First Round of Mercedes-Bentz Tournment

Knoville, Tennessee-- After the first round of the Mercedez-Bentz Women's Collegiate Champion Golf Tournment, the Lady Paladins are in 12th place with a combine score of 324. The Lady Blue Devils are in first place with a two shot lead over the host university, Tennessee.

Leading Furman is junior Jennifer Perri, who fired a 2-over 74. She is tied for tenth with Tina Schneeberger from Tennessee. Rachel Lester of the University of Kentucky leads the field with the only sub-par score posted all day, a 71. Leigh Turner and Brandi Jackson from Furman are following Perri in a tie for 54th. They both shot a round of 83.
