FURMAN IN EIGHTH AT LADY GAMECOCK

PERRI ONE STROKE OFF LEAD

BLYTHEWOOD, South Carolina -- Furman's Lady Paladin golf team followed up Friday's 316 with a 315 on Saturday and is in eighth place at the Lady Gamecock Invitational with one round left to play. In addition, junior Jennifer Perri carded a second round 74 and is tied for third, one stroke off the lead held by LSU's Katy Harris and Meredith Duncan.

Sophomore Brandi Jackson carded a second round 81 to fall into 30th individually with a two-round 160, while Leigh Turner fired a 79 to move into 36th with a 162 sum. In addition, Tara Schultz took one stroke off her first round total in carding an 81 on Saturday and is tied for 39th with a 163 score. For the second consecutive day, sophomore Cimmie Shahan was the Lady Paladin non-counter with an 88. Shahan is in 57th in the individual standings.

The third and final round of the Lady Gamecock is slated for Sunday at the 5,996 yard University Course.
