FURMAN REMAINS IN FIFTH AT BRYAN NATIONAL

PERRI MOVES INTO FOURTH INDIVIDUALLY

GREENSBORO, North Carolina -- Furman's Lady Paladin golf team fired a 298 in round two of the Bryan National Collegiate on Saturday to remain in fifth with a two-day 603 total. Furman is two strokes out of fourth place and 26 strokes behind top-ranked Duke, which leads the tournament with a 577 tally.

The Lady Paladins were led on Saturday by junior Jennifer Perri (Eden Prairie, Minn.), who fired a one-under 71 to move into fourth place individually, four strokes off the lead pace set by Duke's Candy Hannemann. Sophomore Leigh Turner (Alpharetta, Ga.) and freshman Tiarna Harman (Greenville, S.C.) each fired a 74 in the second round and are in 17th and 26th, respectively. Sophomore Sarah Johnston (St. Charles, Ill.) carded a 79 and is 46th at 157, while Brandi Jackson (Belton, S.C.) was the non-counter on the day with an 80, and is in 51st.

The third and final round of the Bryan National is slated for Sunday at the Bryan National Champion course in Greensboro.
