Perri Leads After First Round of Lady Tarheel Golf Tournment

Chapel Hill, North Carolina -- The Furman woman¹s golf team is in fifth place after the first round of the Lady Tarheel Golf Tournment. The team shot a combine round of 303.

Jennifer Perri, a junior, is leading the Paladins and the field, after firing a two under par 70. She was the only player to score below par. She holds a two shot lead over Laura Henderson of Georiga and Meaghan Francella of Memphis.

Furman¹s Leigh Turner is following Perri in 24th place with a four over 76. Close behind Turner is Furman¹s Brandi Jackson, who fired a 78, and Dara Broudus, who fired a 79.
