FURMAN LINKSTERS IN FOURTH AT KESWICK CLASSIC

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Furman's Paladin golf team is in fourth after firing 293-289 in the first two rounds of the Keswick Club Cavalier Classic in Charlottesville, Va. The Paladins are 17 strokes off Wake Forest's lead and four strokes out of second.

Furman was paced by sophomore Kirk Satterfield, who is second in the individual standings, two strokes out of Jay Morgan's (Wake Forest) lead, after firing 71-69 for a 140 total. Freshman Jay Mundy was Furman's next best performer on Sunday, carding 70-75 for a 145 total and 12th-place tie, while junior Brian Scurlock fired 74-73 and is in 24th with eight others at 147. Freshman Matt Davidson rounded out the Furman scoring with a 151 tally (78-73), while fellow freshman Buddy Davis carded 81-74 for 59th.

The final round of the Keswick Club Cavalier Classic is slated for Monday, September 20, at the 6,875-yard, par 72 Keswick Golf Club.
