FURMAN MEN IN 12TH
AT COUNTRY CLUB OF LOUISIANA INVITATIONAL

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana -- The Paladin golf team fired 294-300 Monday at the Country Club of Louisiana Invitational for a 594 total and 12th-place showing in the field of 18. North Florida leads the competition entering Tuesdayıs third and final round with a 578 total and five-stroke lead over Alabama-Birmingham.

Freshman Jay Mundy led Furman with rounds of 72-74, and is in 18th place, 11 strokes out of the lead held by Rhode Islandıs Michael Sims. Sophomore Kirk Satterfield carded 71-76 for a 147 total, while Buddy Davis fired 77-72 and is in 34th. Junior Brian Scurlock is 61st after shooting 75-78 and Todd King is 80th with rounds of 76-81 to his credit.

Despite being 12th, Furman is only 16 strokes out of first place and seven strokes out of fifth.
