PALADIN GOLFERS 11TH; DAVIDSON FIFTH AT DUKE CLASSIC

DURHAM, North Carolina -- The Furman men's golf team is in 11th after two rounds of action at the Duke Golf Classic in Durham, N.C. The Paladins fired rounds of 299-309 on Sunday for a two-round 608 total, 32 strokes behind the leaderboard leading Tar Heels of North Carolina.

Matt Davidson, a senior from West Windsor, N.J., paced the Paladins with rounds of 73-70 at the 7,111 yard par 72 Duke Golf Club, and is fifth in the individual standings. Senior Noble Judy (Nashville, Tenn.) recorded 75-77 and is 43rd, while Ryan Potter (Greenville, S.C.) shot 75-81 and is 58th. T.J. Blandford (Paradise Valley, Ariz.) and Buddy Davis (Orlando, Fla.) rounded out the Paladin scorers with rounds of 76-81 and 77-85, respectively.

Round three of the Duke Golf Classic is slated for Monday.
