Furman Fires 297 in Second Round at Landfall Tradition

Wilmington, North Carolina-- The Furman Paladin golf team posted a second round 297 to move from ninth to seventh place at the Landfall Tradition Men's Golf Championships in Wilmington, N.C., Saturday.

The Paladins' Jay McKnight led the Furman effort with a one over-par 73 in round two. McKnight and teammate Buddy Davis enter Sunday's final round in a tie for 22nd, while Furman's Noble Judy is one stroke back in 25th.

Purdue's Peter Karmis (68-72=140) continues to lead the tournament, while UNC Wilmington's second round 283 pushed the Seahawks by Minnesota and into first place.

A shotgun start will begin third and final round action Sunday Morning.
