FURMAN GOLFERS TAKE 13TH AT COASTAL CAROLINA INVITATIONAL

BEACH, South Carolina -- Furman’s Paladin golf team carded a final round 318 on Tuesday to fall from 12th into 13th at the Coastal Carolina Invitational, with a three-round 933 total.

Buddy Davis topped the Furman effort with a three-round 233 total to take 47th, while Shane Birckbichler fired 81-75-79 to place 53rd with a 235 tally. Rob Langley finished 64th with a three-round 238, while Noble Judy finished 66th at 239. Senior David Sligh rounded out the Furman scorers with a 240 and 69th-place finish.

The University of Arkansas won the Invitational with an 873 three-round total at the 6,920-yard par 72 TPC of Myrtle Beach.
