FURMAN GOLFERS 12TH AT COASTAL CAROLINA

MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina -- Furman's Paladin golf team is in 12th after firing rounds of 307-308 at the Coastal Carolina Invitational, Monday at TPC of Myrtle Beach.

Noble Judy (Nashville, Tenn.) paced the Paladins on Monday, carding rounds of 75-76 at the 6,920-yard, par 72 course, and is in 19th with a 151 total. Buddy Davis (Orlando, Fla.) and Rob Langley (Atlanta, Ga.) are tied for 42nd at 154, while Shane Birckbichler (Travelers Rest, S.C.) is 51st after rounds of 81-75. Senior David Sligh (N. Augusta, S.C.) is 78th after carding 81-83 in Monday’s first two rounds.

UNC Wilmington is leading the Coastal Carolina Invitational with a two-round 589 total, while Virginia Tech and Arkansas are tied for second at 591.

The tournament’s third and final round is slated for Tuesday.
