Paladin Golfers Rebound, Shoot Final Round 299 At Duke Golf Classic

Durham, North Carolina-- The Furman Paladin golf team rebounded from rounds of 317 and 315 on Monday to shoot a final round 299 at the Duke Golf Classic in Durham, N.C., Tuesday afternoon. The Paladins finished 13th with a three round score of 931.

All five Paladins improved on their second round scores to help Furman post the seventh best round of the afternoon. Junior Noble Judy led the Furman charge by shooting a two over par 74, while teammates Rob Langley, Thomas Self and Buddy Davis carded 75 in the final round.

Augusta State (298-286-282=866 +2) overcame a two shot deficit entering the final round to claim the team title with the Jaguars' Oliver Wilson (72-69-68=209 -7) took individual medalist honors.

The Paladins return to the links at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C., November 1-3.
