FURMANıS MARSHALL SELECTED TO PLAY
IN FOOTBALL NETWORK I-AA ALL-STAR CLASSIC

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman senior placekicker Danny Marshall has been selected to play in The Football Network/Division I-AA All-Star Classic on Dec. 30 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., it has been announced.

Marshall, an All-Southern Conference performer, was one of six league players selected to participate in the inaugural all-star game, which is scheduled to be played at Fort Lauderdaleıs Lockhart Stadium. The contest will be televised nationally and on regional sports networks by The Football Network.

The Atlanta, Ga., product has converted 37-of-46 field goals and 133-of-142 extra points in his Paladin career. He heads into Saturdayıs game against Richmond with 244 points, just four points shy of Furman's all-time kick scoring standard of 248 points currently held by Jason Wells (1996-99).

Marshall has connected on all five PAT attempts and field goal tries of 40 and 41 yards this season for the nationally ninth-ranked Paladins.
