FURMAN¹S MARSHALL SELECTED TO PLAY
IN FOOTBALL NETWORK I-AA ALL-STAR CLASSIC

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman senior placekicker Danny Marshall has been selected to play in The Football Network/Division I-AA All-Star Classic on Dec. 30 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., it has been announced.

Marshall, an All-Southern Conference performer, was one of six league players selected to participate in the inaugural all-star game, which is scheduled to be played at Fort Lauderdale¹s Lockhart Stadium. The contest will be televised nationally and on regional sports networks by The Football Network.

The Atlanta, Ga., product has converted 37-of-46 field goals and 133-of-142 extra points in his Paladin career. He heads into Saturday¹s game against Richmond with 244 points, just four points shy of Furman's all-time kick scoring standard of 248 points currently held by Jason Wells (1996-99).

Marshall has connected on all five PAT attempts and field goal tries of 40 and 41 yards this season for the nationally ninth-ranked Paladins.
