FOX SPORTS SOUTH TO TELEVISE FURMAN-APPALACHIAN STATE GAME OCT. 11,
HOLDS OPTION FOR NOV. 15 FURMAN-WOFFORD CONTEST

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman's Oct. 11 home football game against Appalachian State will be televised by Fox Sports South Network (FSN), it was announced today.

Kickoff time for the game has been moved to 3:30 p.m. to accommodate the broadcast according to Furman athletics director Gary Clark.

FSN also announced plans to televise either the Furman-Wofford or Western Carolina-Appalachian State game on Nov. 15 depending on which contest possesses more Southern Conference championship and/or playoff implications.

Kickoff time for the Furman-Wofford contest in Greenville is 2:00 p.m. but would be moved to 4:00 p.m. if FSN exercises its broadcast option.

Furman opens its preseason camp on August 7 and kicks off the 2003 campaign on Aug. 30 when it hosts Elon in a 7:00 p.m. conference game. The Paladins posted an 8-4 record and No. 9 final national ranking in 2002 under first year head coach Bobby Lamb.
