FURMAN'S SANSBURY SELECTED TO PLAY
IN BLUE-GRAY ALL-STAR FOOTBALL CLASSIC

GREENVILLE -- Furman senior tight end Trent Sansbury has been selected to play in the 64th annual Blue-Gray All-Star Football Classic in Montgomery, Ala., on Christmas Day, it was announced today.

A three-time consensus All-Southern Conference selection, the 6-foot-3, 243-pound Sansbury currently leads Furman with 38 receptions for 530 yards and two touchdowns. For his career, the Lilburn, Ga., product has 66 catches for 971 yards and seven touchdowns.

Sansbury marks the seventh Furman player invited to play in the annual all-star classic. Previous Furman selections include Orlando Ruff (1998), Stanford Jennings and Ernest Gibson (1983), Charlie Anderson (1981), Ed Jasonek (1950), and Dewey Proctor (1942).

Furman hosts Lehigh this Saturday at Paladin Stadium in NCAA I-AA quarterfinal playoff action. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:07 EST.
