FURMAN CLIMBS TO SEVENTH
IN SPORTS NETWORK NCAA I-AA POLL

GREENVILLE -- The Furman Paladins, fresh from a 33-7 win over arch-rival The Citadel on Saturday, have climbed from ninth to seventh in the latest Sports Network NCAA I-AA poll, which was released today.

Two other Southern Conference teams are also ranked in the Top 10, with Georgia Southern No. 1 and Appalachian State No. 8.

Furman, now 6-1 on the 2000 season and 3-1 in Southern Conference play, returns to action this Saturday when it travels to Johnson City, Tenn., to take on the East Tennessee State Buccaneers in a 7:00 p.m. game.
