FURMAN RANKED NINTH IN
SPORTS NETWORK NCAA I-AA POLL

GREENVILLE -- The Furman Paladins, who dropped an 18-17 decision to Appalachian State on Saturday, are ranked ninth in the latest Sports Network NCAA I-AA poll, which was released today.

Two other Southern Conference teams are also ranked in the Top 10, with Georgia Southern No. 1 and Appalachian State No. 5.

Furman, now 5-1 on the 2000 season and 2-1 in Southern Conference play, returns to action this Saturday when it hosts arch-rival The Citadel in Greenville beginning at 2:00 p.m.
