FOX SPORTS NET SOUTH TO TELEVISE
FURMAN-APPALACHIAN STATE FOOTBALL GAME
GREENVILLE -- The Furman Paladins' football game against Appalachian State on Oct. 7 in Boone, N.C., will be televised live by Fox Sports South Net, it was announced today.
Originally scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m., kickoff has been rescheduled for noon to accommodate the broadcast.
Furman, a pre-season No. 1 pick by Southern Conference head coaches, topped Appalachian State 35-21 last year in Greenville. The Paladins return 17 starters off a squad that posted a 9-3 record and claimed a share of the league championship. Included in the Paladins' 1999 campaign was a 28-3 win over North Carolina.
