GREENVILLE -- The Furman Paladins, on the strength of a 34-10 win over William & Mary on Saturday, climbed from eighth to sixth in the Sports Network NCAA I-AA Top 25 Poll, which was released today.
In addition to Furman, two other Southern Conference teams are ranked in the Top 10. Defending national champion Georgia Southern remained at No. 2 following a 24-17 win over Wofford, and idle Appalachian State dropped from seventh to eighth in the poll.
Furman returns to action this Saturday when it squares off against VMI in Lexington in the Paladins' 2000 Southern Conference season opener.
