CHARTER CABLE TO BROADCAST NCAA I-AA
FOOTBALL PLAYOFF SELECTION SHOW SUNDAY

GREENVILLE -- Charter Cable of Greenville will broadcast the NCAA I-AA Football Playoff Selection Show this Sunday at noon on its Greenville and Spartanburg systems, it was announced today.

The 30-minute show, which will be aired on Charter Cable's channel 77, will include the announcement of the 16 qualifying teams to the 1999 NCAA I-AA playoffs, which get underway Saturday, Nov. 27. Furman, which is ranked eighth in the latest Sports Network I-AA poll, is a top candidate to earn a playoff bid.

With a win Saturday over Chattanooga, the Paladins, who sport an 8-2 overall record and 6-1 Southern Conference mark, can claim a share of the 1999 league championship with Georgia Southern and Appalachian State.
