FURMAN FOOTBALL BROADCASTS
AVAILABLE OVER THE INTERNET

GREENVILLE -- Furman University announced today that, beginning this season, Paladin football game broadcasts can be accessed live and on-demand over the internet via the school's new arrangement with broadcast.com, the leading aggregator and broadcaster of streaming media programming on the world wide web.

"From anywhere in the world through virtually any computer, fans can now listen to live play-by-play broadcasts of Furman football," said sports information director Hunter Reid on Monday. "For a school like Furman, with alumni all over the country and the world, this broadcast vehicle offers our fans a way of staying in touch with the school and our successful athletics program."

Furman football broadcasts can be accessed over the internet via the school's athletic web site at www.furman.edu/athletics/football or through broadcast.com's web site at www.broadcast.com/sports/ncaa/Furman/Football Furman opens its 1999 season on Sept. 4 when it hosts Elon in a 7:00 p.m. game.
