Paladins Turn Full Attention On Clemson; "Best Practice In Three Days" Says Johnson

GREENVILLE -- With only one more day of two-a-day practice sessions remaining, Furman turned its full attention Thursday on Clemson, which will host the Paladins on Sept. 5 in the season opener for both programs.

"We started working exclusively on Clemson today, with our offense working against their defense and our defense against their offense," said head coach Bobby Johnson following Thursday's over two-hour practice. "I don't know if it was the fact that we began working on Clemson or that two-a-days are coming to and end, but today was our best practice in three days. We got a lot accomplished and there was good concentration all around."

The Paladins, who did not scrimmage on Thursday, will complete their twice daily pre-season practice schedule Friday before taking Saturday and Sunday off.
