LADY PALADINS HOSTS WOFFORD
IN SATURDAY SOUTHERN CONFERENCE MATCHUP

GREENVILLE, South Carolina -- Furmanšs Lady Paladin basketball team, 7-8 overall and 4-3 in the Southern Conference, will attempt to snap a three-game losing streak on Saturday when they play host to the Wofford Terriers in a 3 p.m. matchup at Timmons Arena.

Furman started the Southern Conference season 4-0, but losses to UNC Greensboro, Appalachian State, and Davidson have dropped the Lady Paladins from first in the league into a tie for fourth. Wofford, on the other hand, is 0-7 in conference play and looking for their first league victory of the season.

Despite the three losses, Furman junior Jackie Smith continues to lead the Southern Conference in scoring (20.1 ppg) and rebounding (8.5 rpg), and Furman senior Heidi White is just 24 points away from 1,000 in her career.
