LADY PALADINS SET 2,000-FAN GOAL FOR ALUMNI DAY

GREENVILLE, South Carolina -- Furmanıs Lady Paladin basketball team has set an attendance goal of 2,000 for the Saturday, February 13, game against Davidson.

Calling it Timmons 2,000, the promotion was planned for two reasons. First and foremost, the Lady Paladin program wil be hosting its first alumni game in the 17 years head coach Sherry Carter has been at the helm and this is an excellent opportunity to show alumni and Greenville area residents the many strides that have been made in the womenıs game. In addition, the game against Davidson will be key in determining the final seeds for the Southern Conference Tournament.

A full dayıs activities are planned beginning with the alumni game at 11 a.m., which will feature between 15 and 20 past Lady Paladin players. At 2:30 p.m., the Paladin Club is hosting a drop-in at Timmons Arenaıs Herring Suite for former players, guests, and Paladin Club members, and at 3p.m. the feature game, between Furman and Davidson, begins. In addition, Cleveland Rocker Rushia Brown and Washington Mystic Adrienne Shuler will sign autographs before and after the game and fans can sign up to win a Lady Paladin jersey autographed by Brown and Shuler, or a pair of shoes signed by the Lady Paladin alumni.

Any groups who are interested in attending Saturdayıs events are encouraged to call the Timmons ticket office (864.294.3099) for special group rates. Normal ticket prices are $5 for general admission lower level seats, $3 for general admission lower level tickets and $1 for all childrenıs tickets.
