GREENVILLE, South Carolina -- The Furman women's basketball team will open the 2001-02 preseason Monday night in Timmons Arena with a 7 p.m. exhibition game against St. Augustine's College.
The Lady Paladins return seven starters from last year's squad that posted a 19-10 overall record and 12-6 mark in Southern Conference play. Furman's top returning scorer is sophomore forward Kim Lawrence, who averaged 10.0 points per game a year ago.
