KIM LAWRENCE NAMED TO SOCON ALL FRESHMAN TEAM

GREENVILLE, South Carolina -- Furman freshman Kim Lawrence was named to the Southern Conference All-Freshman team, it was announced on Tuesday.

A product of Woodward Academy in Atlanta, Ga., Lawrence is averaging 9.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game for the Lady Paladin basketball team. Lawrence broke into the starting lineup in Furman's Feb. 6 game against Appalachian State and has been the team's top scorer twice since that breakthrough.

Lawrence was joined on the All Freshman team by UTC's Miranda Warfield, Georgia Southern's Shawnica Hill, Western Carolina's Tiffany Hamm, and Wofford's Natalie Walsh.
