DA LUZ NAMED FURMAN BASKETBALL MVP

GREENVILLE -- Point guard Guilherme Da Luz received Furman's Frank Selvy Most Valuable Player Award for the 2000-01 season at the Paladins' annual basketball awards banquet Tuesday night on campus.

Da Luz, a sophomore from Sao Paulo, Brazil, averaged 11.2 points and 4.9 rebounds per game and also paced the Paladins with 154 assists this past season. He also garnered the team's Academic, Top Assist, and Play Hard Awards.
