FURMAN BASKETBALL SIGNS
NEW MEXICO JUNIOR COLLEGE STANDOUT

GREENVILLE -- Furman University head basketball coach Larry Davis announced today the signing of Ryan Chancler, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound guard from New Mexico Junior College, to a national letter of intent.

Last year Chancler earned All-Western Junior College Athletic Conference honors after averaging 16.0 ppg and shooting 43 percent from 3-point range while helping his squad to a fourth place league finish.

The addition of Chancler gives Furman four recruits for the year. In November the Paladins announced the signing of Jason Patterson, a 6-foot-4 product of Lithonia (Ga.) High School and 6-foot-7 forward Nick Sanders of Leavenworth, Kansas. Last Friday the school announced that Francisco Gonzalez, a 6-foot-7, 235-pound forward from Coral Gables, Fla., had inked with the Paladins.
