DOMINIC FRANCHINI AND DEREK NORMAN EARN ALL-TOURNAMENT HONORS

Greenville, S.C.-- First baseman Dominic Franchini and catcher Derek Norman earned all-tournament honors for their performances this past weekend at the Southwest Diamond Classic in Fort Worth, Texas.

Franchini, a senior from Hamilton, Ohio, went 5-for-11 in three games with two doubles, and one RBI.

Norman, a four-year starter for the Paladins, batted .222 for the tournament with a run scored and gunned down two runners trying to steal.

After taking a break for exams, Furman returns to action on Thursday against Charleston Southern. Game time is set for 2:30 p.m. at Buccaneer Field.
