FURMAN-CLEMSON BASEBALL GAME TO AIR ON WCSZ 1070 AM, TEAMLINE

GREENVILLE, S.C.- The Furman-Clemson baseball game scheduled for this Tuesday will be broadcast on WCSZ 1070 AM and over the internet through Teamline, it was announced today.

The game is set for 7:15 p.m. at Doug Kingsmore Stadium and can be accessed over the internet through www.furmanpaladins.com or at www.teamline.cc/free02/1109.htm.

Chuck Hussion will call the play-by-play and John Ingles will deliver color commentary.

Last season Furman came from behind to defeat Clemson 10-8 on May 8, snapping a 30-game losing streak to the Tigers, which dated back to 1984. One week later the Paladins scored four runs in the ninth inning to propel Furman to a 12-9 triumph over Clemson.

The Paladins are currently 17-29 on the season and 8-16 in Southern Conference play, having lost seven games in a row.

After the Clemson game, Furman has two conference series remaining. Currently, the Paladins are fighting for the eighth and final spot in the Southern Conference baseball tournament, which is held in Charleston, S.C. from May 26-29. After this past weekend, Furman is in a tie for eighth place with Western Carolina, but the Catamounts hold the tie-breaker since they swept the Paladins earlier this season.
