TOM MASTNY NATIONALLY-RANKED AMONG DIVISION I PITCHERS

GREENVILLE, S.C.--Righthanded pitcher Tom Mastny has the fifth best ERA in the nation, according to the NCAA, which released today the nation’s leaders in Division I baseball for the second time this spring

The Zionsville, Ind. native sports a 1.10 ERA and has held opponents to a .180 batting average over a league-leading 90.0 innings pitched.

Mastny, a 6-5, 210-pound senior, is 8-2 on the year and has gone undefeated in conference play with a 6-0 record. His eight victories are tied for tenth among Division I pitchers.

Furman returns to Southern Conference action this weekend when the Paladins host The Citadel. The first game of the three-game series begins on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
