FURMAN TO TAKE ON #21 SOUTH CAROLINA AT GREENVILLE MUNICIPAL STADIUM

Greenville, S.C.-- The Furman Paladins (10-11) will host nationally-ranked South Carolina (16-8) on Wednesday at Greenville Municipal Stadium in a 7:15 p.m. game.

The Paladins will try to avenge a 9-2 drilling earlier this season by the Gamecocks in Columbia, S.C.

Senior Coogie Freedman (0-1, 8.53 ERA) is expected to get the start for Furman. The right-hander’s only other start of the season came against Winthrop, where he gave up four hits and four runs over five innings of work in a 11-8 loss. South Carolina is expected to counter with freshman left-handed pitcher Forrest Beverly (0-1, 4.82 ERA).

Tickets can be purchased at the gate.
