FURMAN TO TAKE ON #21 SOUTH CAROLINA AT GREENVILLE MUNICIPAL STADIUM
Greenville, S.C.-- The Furman Paladins (10-11) will host nationally-ranked South Carolina (16-8) on Wednesday at Greenville Municipal Stadium in a 7:15 p.m. game.
The Paladins will try to avenge a 9-2 drilling earlier this season by the
Gamecocks in Columbia, S.C.
Senior Coogie Freedman (0-1, 8.53 ERA) is expected to get the start for Furman.
The right-handers only other start of the season came against Winthrop,
where he gave up four hits and four runs over five innings of work in a 11-8
loss. South Carolina is expected to counter with freshman left-handed pitcher
Forrest Beverly (0-1, 4.82 ERA).
