Experienced, three-year letterman who returns as the starter in left field...has the ability to hit with power...sports very good speed for his size...career includes starting experience at third base, center field, left field, and at DH...originally came to Furman to play football but gave up the sport to play baseball. 2001 ‹ Saw action in all 55 games and earned 50 starts in left field in helping Furman to a 30-25 record and third place finish in the Southern Conference...batted .270 with 33 RBI and five home runs...was successful on 9-of-11 steal attempts...set a new Furman single season record for at bats with 222...top offensive performance came against East Tennessee State when he went 3-for-3 with a double, triple, three RBI, and three runs scored in a 12-3 wins...set a new Furman single game record with five walks in a 24-10 rout of Indiana...went 3-for-3 with three RBI in 9-8 win over UNC Greensboro. 2000 ‹ Posted starts in center field and as the squad¹s designated hitter, splitting time with Clint Hill in center...in all started in 50 games...batted .305 on the season with two home runs and 26 RBI....405 on base percentage was second highest among regulars, trailing only Clint Hill¹s .412 mark...swiped 10 bases in 13 attempts...went 4-for-4 in a 3-1 win against Davidson...went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, and two RBI in a 25-18 win at VMI...earned Southern Conference All-Tournament honors after helping Furman to a runner-up finish. 1999 ‹ Started 48 of 53 games played at third base...batted .287 with 56 hits...finished second on the team in doubles with 13...tripled in his first collegiate at bat in a 10-6 loss to Eastern Kentucky...started slow but batted .330 (40x121) over his final 30 games.
