FURMAN-KENTUCKY BASEBALL SUSPENDED AFTER 10 INNINGS DUE TO DARKNESS,
TO BE COMPLETED SUNDAY

GREENVILLE -- With the score tied 3-3, Friday's Furman-Kentucky baseball game was suspended after 10 innings due to darkness and will be completed beginning at noon Sunday prior to the Paladins' and Wildcats' regularly scheduled contest.

Trailing 2-1 in the ninth, Kentucky took a 3-2 lead on a two-out, two-run single to left field by Jeff Tolotti off Furman releiver Danny Rueckel.

Furman tied the game at 3-3 in the bottom of the ninth when Derek Norman's single to left off Wildcat reliever Jon Hooker plated Adam Etherington.

Using a single and a pair of walks, Kentucky loaded the bases in the top of the 10th but Rueckel struck out the Wildcats' Seth Morris to end the threat.

Kentucky plays at Wofford on Saturday before returning to Greenville for the completion of Friday's suspended game and a previously scheduled second contest with Furman.
