MASTNY NAMEED SOUTHERN CONFERENCE
PITCHER OF THE WEEK

GREENVILLE, S.C.-- Sophomore Tom Mastny was named Southern Conference Pitcher of the Week for games played from April 23 through April 29.

Mastny went 7.1 innings in leading Furman to a 2-1 win at The Citadel on Saturday, April 28.  Mastny scattered six hits and allowed one run while striking out three and walking two.  In beating The Citadel, Mastny defeated Eric Talbert, the SoCon's ERA leader, handing him his first conference loss of the season.  Mastny had a 1.23 ERA for the week.  The Zionsville, IN native is 7-4 on the season with a 4.09 ERA.

The Paladins play two non-conference games this week before returning to Southern Conference action on Friday May 4 when it hosts upstate rival Wofford in a three game series. First pitch on Friday is set for 7:00.
