FURMAN BASEBALL ANNOUNCES
ADDITION OF NEW COACH

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman baseball coach Ron Smith today announced the hiring of 
Clay Eason to the Paladin baseball staff.

Eason comes to Furman after three years of minor league play with the Philadelphia Phillies 
organization. He will serve as Furman¹s primary pitching coach and assist with 
recruiting responsibilities. 

Eason attended Emmanuel College and North Carolina State University. He was named 
First Team All-American and First Team All-ACC in 1997.
