FURMAN¹S TOBY DAVID NAMED SOUTHERN CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEK

GREENVILLE -- Furman southpaw Toby David was named Southern Conference Pitcher of the Week for games played from March 26 through April 1.

David, a senior from Kissimmee, Fla., tossed a complete game five-hitter leading Furman to a 7-1 victory over Georgia Southern on April 1. He gave up only one earned run, while striking out nine and walking only one.

With the victory, David improved his record to 6-2, his best career start, and his ERA to 2.55. He leads the Paladins in wins, innings pitched, complete games, and strikeouts.

The Paladins will face #12 ranked South Carolina on Tuesday, April 3. The game will be held at Greenville Municipal Stadium starting at 7:00 p.m.
