50 contests...batted .245 with two home runs and 17 RBI...committed only three
errors in 240 total chances for a strong .988 fielding percentage...did not
commit an error in his final 102 chances...had six passed balls...threw out
14 of 69 attempted base stealers (20.2 percent)...went 2-for-4 with three RBI
and two runs scored in a 24-13 win at Western Carolina...went 3-for-4 with two
doubles and two RBI in a 7-6 loss at East Tennessee State...homered as part
of a 2-for-3, 3 RBI performance in a 7-4 win at UNC Asheville. 1999 --
Started at catcher in 44 of 45 games played...batted .276 with four home runs
and 24 RBI...went 3-for-5 and drove in seven runs in a 20-4 rout of Appalachian
State....threw out 13 of 66 attempted base stealers (19.7%). 1998 --
Combined for 18 starts at both catcher and designated hitter...provided quality
depth to veteran catcher Terry McGraw. High School/Personal: 1997 graduate
of Dr. Phillips High School...played outfield and caught under Chip Gierke...three-time
all-metro and All-Orange County selection...team went 38-7 and captured state
