Two-year letterman whose hard work in the off-season has delivered needed strength
and added velocity...will be counted on out of the bullpen and as a spot starter
this spring. 2000 -- Ranked second on the team with 22 appearances, including
20 in relief...went 2-1 with a 9.20 ERA in 44.0 innings of work...yielded only
one run in five and a third innings of relief to earn his first win of the season
in a 24-13 victory at Western Carolina...other win, also in relief, included
two innings of two-hit ball against Georgia State (10-4)...started and pitched
three innings of no-hit ball in an eventual 6-5 victory at Georgia State 1999
-- Made five appearances on the season, all in relief...allowed no runs in action
against UNC Charlotte (2-1 loss) and Georgia (14-1 loss). High School/Personal:
Played baseball under Cliff Zunis at Avon Lake...posted a 2.50 ERA as a senior
en route to earning all-county and all-conference honors...named Northeast Connie
Mack All-Star in 1997...recorded a 2.13 ERA and 55 strikeouts in 45 innings
