FURMAN BASEBALL ANNOUNCES
ADDITION OF NEW COACH

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman baseball coach Ron Smith today announced the hiring of Jeff Young to the Paladin baseball staff.

Young replaces Greg McVey, who accepted a head coaching position at Kentucky Wesleyan College in August. Youngıs primary responsibility will be working with infielders while also assisting as hitting coach. Prior to coming to Furman, Young served on the staffs at Emory, Kentucky and, most recently, Presbyterian.

A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Young played baseball and hockey at Kent State before transferring to Morehead State, where he graduated with a degree in English in 1992.
